team strengths and development needs, facilitated learning exercises
and counselled individuals. Developed a culture change process for the
organisation; trained managers in implementation.

chairman, designed and helped to implement a major culture change process;
coached business stream executives in strategic planning.
- Completed a team performance improvement project with the European
legal staff of this multi-national company. Issues included poor morale,
concerns about management style, and lack of strategic direction. Client
very happy with improved performance resulting from structured workshops,
360 degree appraisal, personal coaching and counselling, and implementation
of agreed action plans.
- Team effectiveness consultant to major retailer, working with senior
management in a service team to improve the commercial effectiveness
and internal co-operation of the team, and with the group HR team to
build implementation skills.
- Analysed the reasons for high turnover amongst shop floor personnel
in this medical equipment company. Identified ultimate causes relating
to roles, policy, structure and management style. Worked with management
to resolve these issues.
Also, conducted workshops for the key software engineering team, which
was undergoing a crisis in productivity and morale. Identified the root
causes, and presented these in a joint management-engineering workshop
for discussion, agreement, and commitment to action plans.
- Conducted workshops for the new management team of a health sector
business unit which had been achieving poor results. The workshops included
exercises to better understand the role of a management / leadership
team, and to put that understanding to practice in new processes for
running the business. Analysed the emotional intelligence of the team
and individuals; provided coaching on actions to improve competence.
